The Anti Pollution Detox Masks To Have In Your Beauty Stash

Thanks to our urban surroundings, we’re accelerating our skin’s ageing, which is why we’re recommending you use a deep-cleansing anti-pollution detox mask to remove the impurities from the skin.

by Kayce Teo  /   December 18, 2019

Pollution, it will kill you, or at the very least cause damage to your skin. Right now, the World Health Organization says 91 per cent of the world’s population lives in places where air quality exceeds their guideline limits. Even though Singapore’s National Environmental Agency gauges the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) is between the Good and Moderate range, anti-pollution skincare is applicable to us. And not just during haze season, we’re also at risk thanks to our urban surroundings and high UV index (due to us being so near the equator), as well as blue light radiation from our digital devices.

The result? Free radical damage caused to your skin, which leads to signs of premature ageing such as dull, saggy skin, clogged pores and hyperpigmentation, and sensitised skin that gets reddened, itchy and irritated easily. To combat the negative effects of pollution, it is important to cleanse your skin properly and use skincare rich in antioxidants. You can also try using a mask to purify skin and remove impurities like these ones here:
