Taiwanese skincare brand For Beloved One’s Bio-Cellulose masks are loved by beauty editors, celebs (Barbie Hsu reportedly uses one every night to keep her complexion fair and even) and makeup artists alike for their gentle formulas and fast results. Now, the brand has come up with a new Flawless Brightening Ethyl Ascorbic Acid Series comprising of a serum and a box of three bio-cellulose sheet masks that are ideal for Asian skin types.
The melanoblasts (cells that are capable of forming melanin) found in Asian skin produces larger granules of melanin, which means we are more prone to getting tan fast. Also, women with natural, fair skin are often troubled by issues such as redness and freckles after sun exposure. To combat this, For Beloved One utilises two powerful brightening ingredients, ethyl ascorbic acid and brightenyl in its newest series.
The former is a vitamin C derivative that is said to be the smallest in molecular weight, allowing it to be quickly absorbed into the skin and penetrate into the deeper layers of our epidermis. It also suppresses the formation of melanin and is capable of reverting dark coloured eumelanin (a type of melanin pigment that is usually either brown or black) back to light coloured pheomelanin (yellowish pigment produced by melanocytes) to brighten the overall skin tone. Brightenyl, on the other hand, soothes and reduces flush and inflammatory reactions, thus, effectively solving the issue of redness.
In addition, For Beloved Girl (the more affordable sister brand of For Beloved One targetING the millennial women) has just released three new effective sheet masks under its For Beloved Girl Cloud-Silk Mask Series. The entire range features six different types of sheet masks, each containing mineral concentrations to target specific skin concerns. After releasing its first three in July last year, the brand has finally revealed its last three additions to the series that are now available at Sephora stores.
