The Cooling Skincare To Treat And Soothe Your Complexion

by MOH SHUYING  /   March 8, 2018

We love cooling beauty products, and it’s not just because they feel great in Singapore’s hot and humid climate. For one, chilly skincare can help to calm redness and sensitivity, as the cold will cause blood vessels to constrict so broken capillaries (which cause redness and ruddy patches) appear less visible.

Another reason, which is also really applicable to Singapore as most of us have oily-combination skin, is that because cool products the blood vessels in skin to constrict, this helps to tighten enlarged pores and reduce puffiness.

But that’s not all. The cold can also help to boost microcirculation, which in turn improves cell turnover so your complexion looks fresher, smoother and more youthful. They also reduce inflammation and stimulates cells so your skin is better able to absorb the active ingredients from the rest of your skincare.

If you’re eager to hop onto the cooling skincare bandwagon, we’ve put together a list of our faves that do everything from hydrate, to fighting premature ageing and clarifying.
