It’s a mixed bag of beauty finds this week to treat yourself from head to toe. Louis Vuitton’s Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud introduces the newest fragrance to its Middle East Perfume Collection, while Dior’s beloved beauty products get a re-formulated powder foundation for long-lasting makeup you can wear throughout the day.

To keep hair healthy and hydrated, Korean beauty brand Ryo has a haircare line that battles both hair loss and hair odour. A FRAGRANCE FROM THE DESERT

The Middle East collection by Louis Vuitton – a series of luxury fragrances inspired by the scents of flowers found in the Middle East that debuted in 2018 – has welcomed its fifth eau de parfum to the collection. The Fleur Du Desertuses is created by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud and features the scents of three flowers native to the region that has been widely used in the world of perfumery for ages. The sweet and intoxicating perfume blends notes of jasmine, orange blossom and rose. Explains Cavallier Belletrud: “My idea was simply to stage these natural wonders in their original setting.”

The Fleur Du Desert ($565 for 100ml) is now available in stores

DIOR RELEASES REINVENTED POWDER FOUNDATION

Want a long-wear foundation? Dior’s reinvented powder foundation, the ultra-creamy powder yet soft and light Dior Forever Natural Velvet has been formulated with 90 per cent natural-origin ingredients, including wild pansy extract for hydration, and is available in nine shades. For a poreless skin effect, this compact powder foundation goes on the face with a matte finish. Meanwhile, the Dior Addict Lip Tint introduces six new shades to its already popular lip product, ranging from soft nudes to plums.

RYO HAIRCARE FOR HAIR LOSS

If you’re struggling with hair loss, Korean haircare brand Ryohas introduced its Ryo Hair Loss Expert Care Perfume line that comprises two hair loss expert care shampoos and two hair treatments that have been dermatologically tested to reduce hair odour.

The Seoul Sunset shampoo takes warm notes of bitter orange and creamy sandalwood and combined them with fresh gardenia and freesia. Jeju Breeze is a slightly more tropical-smelling shampoo, formulated with ylang-ylang, lily and jasmine. Both products are infused with Korean ginseng and other herbs to soothe dry, itchy scalps. The hair treatments. meanwhile, are meant for those suffering from flat hair, and employs the brand’s patented hair volumising technology to restore the bouciness of limp locks.
