Beauty fiends take note: Dolce & Gabbana has just opened its first-ever beauty boutique called La Casa in Singapore. The outing marks the second regional beauty outpost for the Italian brand after the one in Bangkok.
Situated at Ion Orchard, the store carries the brand’s makeup collection as well as it skincare line. Before you make your trip to the store, here are some things you need to know about La Casa.
Dolce & Gabbana was founded by fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in 1985, who from the start of their careers have referenced the Italian island’s rich culture and tradition as well as their love for the baroque style in their designs. The store interiors, with their gilded finishes, rich tapestries, and witty furnishings like potted cacti, pay homage to this colourful heritage.
Dolce & Gabbana’s signature skincare ingredient is called the Mediterranean Glow Complex – a mixture of natural Mediterranean fig extract, organic Italian olive oil, hyaluronic acid that’s made possible by Shiseido’s in-house technology.
This eye-catching illuminating powder blush – the Solar Glow Illuminating Powder Duo ($95) which comes in four shades. On the left, you’ll find a highlighter. On the right, a blush or bronzer.
While there are a few more bronzers and highlighter drops that are pretty cool, we’re diving straight into the heart of makeup – foundations. Here, the Gloriouskin Perfect Luminous Creamy Foundation ($176) comes in 15 shades, skincare ingredients, ornamental design on the tub, and long-lasting coverage.
Here’s the latest launch that you need to know about: the ultra-reflective lip lacquer called Shinissimo ($59). The formula comes in 14 shades, is lightweight, super shiny, and packed with colour pigments.
