Cult Beauty Brand Drunk Elephant Is Finally In Singapore — Here’s The 411

On occasion of Sephora stocking the brand on our shores, we speak to founder Tiffany Masterson on all things beauty. Read: skincare favourites, treatments and indulgences.

by SOFIA KIM  /   November 12, 2018

If you have always been a fan of American cult skincare brand Drunk Elephant, here’s an exciting piece of news for you: it has has finally landed on our shores at Sephora Singapore. The brand has always been known for its safe yet effective formulations using only clean, compatible ingredients. We spoke to the founder, Tiffany Masterson who shares her skincare favourites and other indulgences.

An item that’s a great perk-me-up

Tiffany Masterson (TM): “The Littles from my brand is a travel-sized kit full of products one needs to implement the perfect routine. It is also a great way to quickly try the entire line while adopting the philosophy of avoiding the ‘suspicious six’.”

A product that gives instant glow

TM: “I believe what truly gives the skin a real, permanent glow is by allowing it to function and thrive as it should, by only feeding it ingredients it can recognise and is compatible with. So, it’s not one product that does it — it’s this philosophy that, when adhered to, will wake the skin up and leave it positively glowing.”

A Drunk Elephant product that gives her joy

TM: “I have to say the C-Firma Day Serum. We have evolved the formulation and tweaked the packaging and it feels like it’s my child who has grown up to be successful. I look forward to using it everyday.”

A beauty treatment that makes her smile

TM: “The Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser makes me very happy when I use it. I can have full eye makeup on and it whisks it away without even a hint of irritation or dryness, leaving my skin feeling soft and clean. It’s so easy to use and I love products that allow me to save time. It makes it more appealing.”

Her beauty indulgence

TM: “It would be to visit a weekend spa and exercise all day, eat and sleep well, as well as sit in a sauna.”

Go-to restaurant in Houston for a celebratory meal

TM: “I love Armando’s. It is a Mexican restaurant that has great food and the vibe is always fun. It also brings back great memories for me as my mom and I always patronised the restaurant in the 80s.”

A fun place in Houston every visitor should check out

TM: “I think it would have to be Nasa’s Johnson Space Center. You can take a regular VIP tour, see spacecrafts and you might even be able to bump into an astronaut. The whole thing is mind-boggling.”

The best place to shop at in Houston

TM: “Kuhl Lunscomb, hands down. People come from all over. It is the greatest mini department store in my opinion and you can get lost in it for hours.”

A place where she seeks joy

TM: “The gym. It’s the biggest anti-depressant you can find in my opinion and it keeps me calm, happy, joyful and balanced.”
