The Best Places To Get Your Eyebrows Embroidered In Singapore

Here’s everything you should be looking out for before taking the plunge and getting eyebrow embroidery done. We round up 3 of the best places to check out.

by Joyce Cheo   /   February 18, 2020

With semi permanent makeup like eyelash extensions and eyebrow embroidery becoming more and more popular, it seems inevitable to hear about horror stories that have occured as a result of inexperienced therapists or poor hygiene standards at beauty salons. To avoid unfortunate incidents like eye infection and unsightly scarring, make sure to you do ample research on the brow embroidery artist and the salon you’re visiting. Read on to find out more about the top three things to look out for, and the best salons to visit:

Hygiene Standards

Since eyebrow embroidery essentially involves using tiny needles to puncture your skin and deposit dye, you couldn’t be more careful when it comes to hygiene. Feel free to ask questions that you might have and don’t ever feel pressured. It’s good to look out for whether they use disposable blades and how the brow artists refill the dye between each customer (if they double dip, that’s a big no-no). Ask if a cotton swab is used to apply numbing cream onto your skin and take note if the brow artists wear gloves.

Level of Expertise

When it comes to eyebrow embroidery techniques, experience plays a huge part in determining how your brows will end up looking. If your artist has many years of experience under her belt, chances are, she’ll be able to customise and create a brow design that flatters your features instead of relying on stencils. In addition, it’s also good to ask about the certification your brow artist has received. This is because if your brow artist receives regular training, that means that she’ll most likely be well-versed with the latest techniques and tools available in the market.

Cleanliness & Tidiness

Beyond inquiring at the salon reception or over the phone, try making it a point to head down to the salon and check out its interiors. It’s a good sign if the salon and a brow artist’s working space is kept neat and tidy at all times. However, if the place looks shoddy and messy, bad housekeeping should sound off some alarms and make you wonder if they are even able to keep track of the tools they use.

Now that you know what to look out for, here are the best salons to visit for perfectly arched brows:

Called Brow Resurrection, Browhaus’ brow embroidery service feature a unique technique to create finer, more realistic strokes that mimic the appearance of natural brow hairs. Moreover, hygiene is of utmost importance here, and each tool is individually sealed, sterilised and disposed of after each use. Requiring no further introduction when it comes to brow embroidery, Erabelle is synonymous with impeccable results and superb service. Thanks to its special soft shading technique, micro-pigments are embedded onto the top layer of the skin using an ultra-precise German-made micro blade pen. Each micro blade tip is replaced after every use and dye pigments are dispensed into colour cups before each service so that there won’t be any double dipping of dye between each customer. Plus, even though the dyes used are organic and certified to be safe for use for all skin types, a patch test will still be performed to ensure that each customer doesn’t have any allergic reaction before the procedure begins.
