Beauty Writer Sofia Kim's Favourite Products For The Month Of November
#1: Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum, $190, Sephora

This month, I was perpetually breaking out and my skin texture was rather rough and bumpy, which was why I decided to put this to the test. The verdict: I’m in love. It is made with a blend of AHAs to gently exfoliate, refine and resurface skin. It really treated my acne and got rid of the bumps on my skin, especially on my cheeks, without any stinging sensation or irritation. I like to mix one pump of this with two pumps of the brand’s B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel to soothe and hydrate my skin.

#2: Tatcha The Deep Cleanse, $55, Sephora

I like how this smells really fresh and even contains bits of natural fruit fibres to manually slough away dead skin surface cells and remove dirt and debris stuck within pores. It is also formulated with Japanese wild rose, which helps tighten pores and smooth out skin texture while Japanese leopard lily controls excess sebum production and encourages natural skin cell turnover. My skin does not feel tight or dry post-cleansing, which is what I really love about it.

#3: Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm, $26, Sephora
image

Dry, chapped lips are a huge no-go for me, which is why I love trying out new lip balms to test out their formulas. Besides its uber hydrating formula that also contains anti-ageing benefits, I personally love its packaging. It is a little broader than your usual stick lip balms, which makes for easy, fuss-free application.

#4: Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Renewing Dew Concentrate, $80
image

Recently, I have been into downsizing my skincare routine so I prefer applying serums that give more than one benefit. This not only imparts long-lasting moisture, but it also brightens, evens out skin tone and smoothens out rough skin textures. Plus, it does not feel sticky or leave a greasy feeling after.

#5: Porcelain Hydrocare Bio-Cellulose Mask, $38 for a box of six
image

I might be late to the game on this one, but this sheet mask really impressed me after just one use. Its oil-free formula is infused with a host of skin-loving ingredients like as litchi seed, cactus, ceramides and fig fruit extracts to fight free radicals, boost collagen production, soothe and hydrate skin. The result: my skin instantly appeared smoother, plumper and more radiant.

#6: Laura Mercier Colour Infusion Blush in Chai, $49
image

I never skip using a blusher and this is one that I have been constantly reaching out for. The shade Chai is my current go-to as it is super wearable for every day and complements any sort of eye makeup look I do. It is also really long-lasting and is made with micro-fine powders for buildable application without looking cakey or powdery.

#7: Hera UV Mist Cushion, $68
image

Cushion compacts are my base makeup of choice on weekdays as they are fuss-free and require little effort to apply on. This now comes with a new and improved formula that is made with a combination of technologies like the Powder Ultra Fine Particle Dispersion Technology, Color Filtering Technology and Moisture Radiance Complex to impart a radiant, translucent glow to the skin. It also feels weightless on the skin, features a hydrating formula and gives medium coverage.

#8: Mamonde Creamy Tint Color Balm Intense in Red Pepper, $16
image

It is hydrating, long-lasting, gives amazing colour payoff with just a single swipe and has a creamy and velvety formula that glides on like a dream — it is really everything I could ever ask for in a lippie.

#9: Dior J’adore Absolu Eau de Parfum, $240
image

The updated lush fragrance is made with rich, sensual and floral absolutes with a refreshing and luminous touch of lightness. Its main ingredients include jasmine sambac and Grasse jasmine. For an added lightness and freshness, a potent magnolia absolute and aquatic floral note is mixed in.
