Peruse through Park Eunkyung’s Instagram page and you will be blown away at the multitude of outre nail designs and accoutrements for your digits created by this South Korean creative, better known by the moniker Unistella.
It’s an OTT wonderland and Pinterest haven filled with snapshots of nails plastered with crochet, nails dusted with shattered glass, and nails dripping in crystals like a chandelier.
Then there are the posts of magazine editorials and covers she has a hand in creating – a testament to just how valued her talent is among celebrities and photographers.

With almost two decades of experience under her belt, it is no surprise that many Korean celebrities – think Irene Kim, Lee Hyori and even G-Dragon – turn to the 36-year old to get their nails fixed.
But her most recent work that’s got everyone obsessed? Her nail designs for the members of Blackpink in conjunction with the group’s anticipated full-length album, The Album.

Responsible for a slew of viral Internet trends including glass nails, lipstick-shaped nails and wire nails, Park is definitely at the forefront of trends. She boasts a popular nail jewellery line featuring nail rings, and more recently, explored creating nail gloves.

Her studio is located in Seoul’s Gangnam district and you will have to reportedly book a slot in advance before getting an appointment.
We chatted with the Seoul-based nail designer where she schooled us in her influences, her work with Blackpink, and why nail care might just be the next big movement to know.
