Pop-up stores are always a good idea. If nothing else, it’s a novel idea and for fashion brands we’ve seen everything from the Miu Miu Disco Pop-Up and Fendi Kiosk. When it comes to beauty, Chanel had its recent Coco Game Center and now, L’occitane has followed suit with its first-ever pop-up store (and beauty bar) that will run from 3-16 July at Ion Orchard Level One Atrium.
Known as A Journey In Every Sense, it aims to bring the culture and natural beauty of Provence to our very own city, giving visitors a very sensorial and holistic experience through five different segments: the Sight, Feel, Scent, Sounds and Taste of Provence.
While it’s not a permanent addition (unlike in Shibuya, Tokyo) it will serve up sweet treats inspired by Provence. Made by popular local patisserie Janice Wong, the desserts will be exclusive to the pop-up (and also available for the first time at the event) and has been created with the signature ingredients of the brand such as cherry blossom, verbena, bergamot and rose. Bonus: just like an actual cafe, there will be seats available. But do note they are limited. Apart from the desserts, the space is worth dropping by, for want of nothing else, it’ll boast a gorgeous decor that’s inspired by the beautiful Southern France region.
Excited? Here’s a sneak peek at what to expect.
