American beauty brand M.A.C Cosmetics has always kept things fresh by teaming up with designers and celebrities, from Chinese couturier Guo Pei (the woman behind Rihanna’s memed-to-the-hilt yellow dress at the Met Gala) and American designer Zac Posen to pint-sized chanteuse Ariana Grande and British designer Charlotte Olympia. The latest one to join the list of makeup collaborators: Chinese fashion designer Chris Chang, founder of womenswear label Poesia By Chris Chang.
The seven-year-old brand’s USP: Kaleidoscopic prints that verge on the bizarre, which also encapsulates what her M.A.C collection is all about. Inspired by kunqu, a form of Chinese opera, the colours here – from neon pinks to bright yellows – are far from neutral.
What’s even cooler? You’ll get to see these limited edition products up close at its launch on Saturday, May 28. Held at Tangs by Tangs Plaza from 2pm to 3:30pm, head down to catch live makeup demos by the brand’s makeup artists and glean professional techniques. Or learn how to incorporate the range’s bright colours into your makeup routine with a complimentary makeover and enjoy refreshments at the same time. For now, get a sneak peek at the line in our gallery below.
