This season’s theatrical lip and eye trends are surprisingly wearable.
You don’t need to sacrifice prettiness and sophistication for this bold look. To achieve it, draw a thick line along the crease of your eyes and lash line. The effect is arty when your peepers are closed, but turns into a sultry cat’s eye when they’re open.
Dark lips are one of the year’s biggest makeup hits, and the It shade now is black cherry. Deep and dramatic, it’s more impactful than regular plum, but still wearable on all skin tones. We love it with an ultra-glossy finish that’s more glam than grunge.

Orange or pastel blue might not be colours most women usually reach for, but they look rad at a party or with a statement outfit. Make sure the finish is matte to keep it irreverent and, in turn, modern.
Eyeliner is usually drawn delicately within the waterline to appear like part of your lash line. This season’s version is the opposite: ultra thick and smudged below with kohl. Now you don’t need to use shadow to achieve a dramatic smoky eye.
