Prada’s duochrome colour block

This season, Miuccia Prada channelled an empowering line up of boxy silhouettes and a mix of feminine-meets-masculine pieces. Makeup artist Pat Mcgrath went down the same route for the makeup, with a bold block of iridescent shadow between the lid and the brows. Together with the gelled back hair, this look was fierce and elegant all at once.

Moschino’s modern Marie Antoinette

There are two words to describe the hair this Fall 2020 at Moschino – campy and gravity-defying. This season, the fashion house crossed 18th-century Marie Antoinette with modern ‘60s and ‘80s fits on the runway. Similarly in the hair department, hair stylist Paul Hanlon gave the models pastel wigs inspired by the baroque period.

Vivetta’s reverse glitter shadow

Instead of the regular sequin on the lids, Vivetta’s placed black glitter-pieces along the undereyes for their runway this season. This upped the ante for this season’s eye looks, and portrayed some glam-tired vibes.

Max Mara’s slept-in eyeshadow

Speaking of glam-tired looks: if there’s a makeup look we could probably effortlessly replicate from MFW, it would be this one. With the smudged and feathered out black shadows, the eye looks on the Max Mara runway were artistically made to look like morning-after make up. While we don’t recommend doing that, this Max Mara look makes for an easy one to emulate.

Gucci’s mascara tears

With the goth vibes at Gucci’s Fall carousel of a runway this season, makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver took an unconventional approach when it came to the mascara. By swiping Gucci Beauty’s Mascara L’Obscur under the lids and melting the mascara with water down the face, Kluyver achieved that a theatrical tear-stained look.

Moncler x Richard Quinn’s blue eyeshadow

ICYMI: blue eyeshadow is back. With little to no eyeliner, there was a major 60s vibe being channelled with this blue eyeshadow look. Plus points for matching perfectly with the bright florals and puffer jackets that were on display.

Fendi’s blotted cherry lip

With a minimal base and eye makeup, Fendi kept things simple and brought attention to the lips this season with a powdery blotted burgundy lip this season.

Marco de Vincenzo’s blunt cateye

And while minimal looks were a thing on the runway, minimal doesn’t have to be boring, and Marco de Vincenzo proved it with their blunt cat eye look. Talk about statement make up.

Marni’s drenched in glitter
image

Models at Marni seemed to have taken a bath in glitter this season – their hair face and even fingers were drenched in glitter. Though not very wearable for day-to-day looks, we don’t hate the 2010-Ke$ha glitter vibes.
