The New Beauty Brands Available At Net-A-Porter To Check Out
#1: Joanna Vargas Forever Glow Anti-Ageing Face Mask, US$68.78 (approx. S$90)
image

The brand: A famous esthetician known for using all-natural skincare products, Joanna Vargas created her namesake skincare collection so her customers and women around the world would be able to achieve good skin in the comfort of their own homes.

The product: Each hydrating mask simultaneously firms and smooths skin texture to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Enriched with metabolism-boosting and antioxidant-rich ingredients, this bamboo sheet mask strengthens collagen and increases circulation to deliver flawless, glowing skin.

#2: Lixir Skin Night Switch Retinol 1%, US$47.29 (approx. S$62)

The brand: This European skincare brand believes in creating universal, advanced and multi-tasking formulations for everyday use, for both young and mature skin.

The product: This contains pure active molecules to repair and treat the skin while we snooze. Retinol regulates skin metabolism to refine its texture, stabilise it and reverse sun damage. It also works in the deeper layers to boost protein production in the dermal fibroblasts. The result: plumper, clearer skin.

#3: Mimi Luzon Pure Gold Treatment, US$330.80 (approx. S$434)

The brand: Mimi Luzon is a skincare expert and celebrity esthetician. She has developed her own line of signature products using unique formulations that are designed to address multiple skin concerns. Her treatments combine products rich in active ingredients together with cutting-edge technologies.

The product: Whether you have visible signs of ageing or are dealing with acne, this is for you. It contains four different treatments, which work together to reduce redness, diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as even out skin tone for an instant healthy glow. P/S: it is also famously used by Victoria’s Secret angels before the annual fashion show.

#4: Playa Beauty Supernatural Conditioner, US$35.37 (approx. S$46)

The brand: Venice Beach-based haircare brand Playa Beauty  keeps all their products free of harmful ingredients and offers essential hair products that are made with natural oils and botanicals with hand-selected clinically active ingredients.

The product: What makes this hair conditioner so special? Its ability to adjust to different hair types. When hair is severely damaged by multiple sessions of bleaching and colouring, it becomes harder to repair it back to its healthy state. The self-adjusting conditioner is able to treat even the most damaged hair. Infused with brassica and copaiba oils, it smooths frizz and restores luster while baobab protein renews and rebuilds.

#5: Retrouve Revitalizing Eye Concentrate, US$487.79 (approx. S$640)

The brand: The products aim to maintain the health of the living cells in the dermis. Over time, the slowing of cell response and movement, along with damage from sun exposure and free radicals, lead to a weakening of the core functions necessary to maintain youthful, radiant skin. Retrouve creates products that work harmoniously with these natural regenerative processes to optimise the skin’s ability to nourish, strengthen and repair itself.

The product: The skin around our eye area is the most delicate and the first to show signs of ageing. Thus. a good eye cream or serum is a must. This lightweight balm is a nourishing treatment that protects skin against common harmful aggressors like sun exposure and dryness. It is also formulated with lanolin to soothe dry skin and antioxidant-rich retinyl palmitate to minimise signs of ageing while plant-based squalane hydrates.

#6: Anya Smells! Coffee Scented Candle, US$60.91 (approx. S$80)
image

The brand: This is a collection of candles that are inspired by Anya Hindmarch’s favourite scents. The bottles, too, reflect the brand’s ready-to-wear pieces with its fun, quirky designs.

The product: Blended with rich notes of cafe abs and galbanum, these ingredients evoke the familiar smell of freshly brewed coffee. Its other notes include patchouli, tonka bean, frankincense and amber to create a woody aroma.
