Here Are 28 New Fragrances You Seriously Need To Add To Your Collection
J’adore Eau de Parfum Roller-Pearl, $84
image

This is made with rich, sensual and floral absolutes with a refreshing and luminous touch of lightness. Its main ingredients include jasmine sambac and Grasse jasmine. The former offers a familiar indolic yet delightful scent while the latter is well-known for its unique nuances with fruity facets and brings forth a floral richness. And now, it comes in a roller-pearl packaging so you can easily touch up on-the-go.

Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose EDT, $187
image

The new edition still features the quartet of carla lavender, sambac jasmine, vanilla tahitensis and Australian sandalwood but now joined with an original duo of raw materials cherished by the Guerlain perfumer: neroli and Bulgarian rose for added freshness and feminity.

Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey Pure Peitale de Nectar, $173
image

Inspired by the purity of morning dew, this refreshing scent counts pear and honey accents as its juicy top notes, before it develops to unveil a clean and crisp facet of the rose. Eventually, it settles so that the sandalwood, cashmeran and ambergris accords start to facet, reflecting the warmth of Spring’s morning sun.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Sunshine EDT, $118
image

There’s nothing more joyful than this bright and sunny scent. Featuring luminous orange blossoms, sunkissed gold raspberries and solar musks, you’re immediately transported to a happy place from the moment you spritz this on, one where optimism overflows and a carefree spirit is embraced.

Salvatore Ferragamo Amo Flowerful EDT, $191
image

Created to depict “a rainbow garden full of sparkling and blooming flowers”, it opens with notes of Italian bitters, yuzu flowers and blackcurrants, it develops into a delicate bouquet of pink peony, jasmine and plum blossoms. Finally, its sensual base notes surface as vanilla, light woods and musk form a warm embrace around you, allowing you to emanate a positive energy that’s truly infectious.

Jo Malone London Wild Flower & Weeds Collection Willow & Amber, $112
image
Created by perfumers Yann Vasnier and Louise Turner as an homage to the unexpected beauty of nature, each fragrance from the Wild Flower & Weeds Collection is an amalgamation of seemingly contrasting ingredients. Our favourite is Willow & Amber, which contains cashmere wood, smoky vetiver and sensual amber to perfectly capture the simplicity of weeping willow swaying in the morning breeze, gently caressing the surface of the water.
Chanel Les Exclusifs de Chanel 1957 EDP, $315
image
As Chanel perfumer, Olivier Polge’s latest creation, 1957, tells the story of the success that Mademoiselle enjoyed in America, including gaining fame and fortune, as well as her now-iconic Chanel’s NYC flagship. In true Chanel fashion, this elegant scent reveals itself in subtle layers and showcases the versatility and depth of eight accords of white musks. Seamlessly complemented by woody, sweet, spicy and floral accents, it leaves an understated yet complex trail on your skin.
Jimmy Choo Floral EDT, $149
image
This scent evokes the simple pleasures of springtime in the city, like taking a walk in the part and feeling the energy of a bustling metropolitan come to life as the sun rays hit the pavements. Echoing this dynamic spirit, bergamot, nectarine, magnolia, sweet pea, Ambroxan and musk intertwine for this vibrant and luminous scent.
Louis Vuitton Les Colognes Afternoon Swim, $380
image

As its name suggests, this scent is created to reflect the turn of the seasons and welcome a newfound warmth. Exalting three seemingly simple ingredients, perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud regards this combination as a “great magnetic power”. With each spritz, juicy Sicilian orange, sparkling bergamot and complex mandarin complement one another, painting the perfect picture of happy days spent in the sun, immersed in an air of immense freshness that is aromatic and incredibly uplifting.

Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Rosé Extra Eau de Parfum, $173
image

This glamorous scent opens with an exhilarating blend of cherry liquor, lychee and Italian mandarin. As the night progresses, peony, orris concrete, creamy vanilla and tonka bean add an extra touch of sensuality and mystery, making it perfect for a night out!

Narciso Rodriguez PURE MUSC EDP, $186 (Available from May)
image

Reflecting Narciso Rodriguez’s refined and restrained design aesthetics, the black and white bottle is clean and sleek, hinting at the purity and simplicity of the fragrance it holds. With musc at the heart of it, a blend of jasmine, orange blossom, amber, cashmeran and patchouli subtly teases the senses as they add depth, warmth and sensuality to it without ever straying into a brazen display of sexuality.

Miu Miu Twist EDP, $157, The Shilla Duty Free
image

Every bit the perfect representation of the Miu Miu girl, this scent is a melange of Vert de Bergamot, apple blossom, cedarwood and pink amber. This surprising blend culminates in a mesmerising blend that is floral, fresh and sophisticated all at once.

Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau De Parfum, $242
image

The French maison is now including a fourth variation of its Chance fragrance, which was first launched in 2002. To date, it has already released three iterations known as Eau Fraiche, Eau Tendre and Eau Vive, each of which boasts similar (they are all formulated with jasmine) yet distinctly different scents. What makes the newest Eau de Parfum different? While it is still youthful, fresh and lighthearted, the new fragrance is more intense, radiant and feminine. Exotic jasmine absolute and essence of rose centers the concoction, which is then draped in smooth and creamy white musk notes for a clean and fresh effect. And no, it does not end there. The complex scent closes with a tangy whirl of grapefruit-quince accord. Besides its delicate and profound fragrance, the bottle design is one to note. It now comes with a gold neck and silver die-shaped cap – it’s everything a modern girlie girl could ever ask for.

#2: Byredo Unnamed Limited Re-edition Fragrance, $310
image

Launching on 31 January, this was first launched in 2016 to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary and has now made its highly anticipated return. Those with discerning noses may identify with pink pepper, floral notes and a balsam scent but the brand believes that it is up to one’s own imagination to determine the scent.

Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina New Year Edition Eau de Parfum, $156
image

The iconic Signorina Eau de Parfum now comes in a red bottle that is embellished with an opulent velvet Vara bow. The floral-fruity fragrance plays with top notes of sparkling pink pepper and red currants. The sensuality of musk, patchouli and delicious creamy pannacotta blend to form the base.

Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Creations Eau de Parfum, $400
image

Inspired the rich culture and heritage of Florence and Tuscany, the brand’s latest Tuscan Creations feature a total of 11 different EDPs that come in the sleekest and most elegant 100ml bottles. The collection is categorised into three different ranges known as Nature, Arts and Culture and Tradition. Our pick: the light, refreshing and cheerful Punta Ala.

Miu Miu Fleur D'Argent Eau de Parfum, $192
image

Its top note, the tuberose, is a thicker, more matured white flower that opens the fragrance with a sensual and sophisticated scent. A balanced composition of musk accord and the brand’s signature undertone akigalawood provides a buoyant, precocious roundness.

Bvlgari Rose Goldea Limited Edition, $232
image

This sweet, floral fragrance now comes packaged in a limited edition bottle, which was created by London-based artist Jacky Tsai. The pop art floral design reflects the essence of feminity and the curves of the serpent cleverly form the outline of the goddess’ face.

Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal by Night Eau de Parfum, $214
image

An updated version of the brand’s Scandal Eau de Parfum, this is now made with a blend of tuberose, sandalwood and tonka bean for a slightly more mysterious and sensual scent. What else we love: the playful bottle design.

Dior Joy Eau de Parfum, $240
image

A new women’s perfume from the brand after nearly two decades, the Dior Joy EDP is one that is fresh with just the right amount of sweetness to it thanks to a blend of rose and jasmine, which are then mixed in with sandalwood, patchouli and cedarwood. What a joy indeed.

Diptyque 34 Boulevard Saint Germain Eau de Parfum, S$265
image

With a base of woods and balms, this warm and spicy fragrance is made with a mix of blackcurrant, pink pepper and cinnamon.

Lancome La Vie Est Belle Flowers of Happiness, $144

image

The iconic bottle design and shape of the Signorina is now reimagined in a more fun and colourful way and is decked with floral prints. Nashi pear sorbet blends with juicy pomegranate for a fruity scent. The heart of the fragrance is a crescendo of enchanted flowers like cherry blossom and transparent jasmine petals. The result: a fruity, floral fragrance perfect for girly girls.
