If you’re a K-drama fan, you’d probably have been obsessed with the actors’ enviably good skin while watching the shows. And while the South Korean actresses I’m currently a fan of – Park Shin Hye, Han Hyo Joo and Song Hye Kyo – all play passionate doctors in their respective TV series, all possess flawless complexions that I wish I had on a daily basis too.
Here’s how to achieve the makeup looks each actress sported in the shows in real life:
Park Shin Hye played neurosurgeon Dr. Yoo Hye-Jung in K-drama Doctors.
The Koreans love to sport straight eyebrows that soften their features, giving them a more youthful appeal. To keep brows natural, brush out the brows and pencil in an eyebrow colour that closely matches your hair colour.
Side bangs will not only soften the edges of your face, but make your visage appear slimmer too. Here, Park’s bangs are rounded and tapered to frame her face in soft, gentle waves.
Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler and apply a coat of transparent mascara for a more natural look (applying thick coats of black mascara will make them appear heavy). For those of us who aren’t blessed with naturally long eyelashes, a lash serum will help: I apply it to my upper lashes, just above the lash line, every other night to lengthen it.
Song Hye Kyo took the role of surgeon Dr Kang in top-rated drama Descendants Of The Sun.
All you need to do to achieve this look: Pull your hair back into a ponytail and tie it loosely.

Use a lightweight foundation like a BB or CC cushion for a dewy, natural look. Stay away from foundations which promise heavy coverage to avoid a cakey finish.

Choose either a soft pink or coral lipstick, as seen on Dr Kang, instead of bold red ones for a girly, feminine look.

Han Hyo Joo played cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Oh Yeon-Joo in W.
Big, loose waves lend a soft, feminine appeal. Add volume to your locks by either blow-drying them upside down or focusing on just the top part of your hair.
I do a cat eye everyday, but a simple, thin line (as seen on Han’s character) also helps to open up your peepers instantly. It’s a great alternative when you’re pressed for time.
Good skincare is important if you want radiant complexions like Han, so exfoliating your skin and masking regularly are must-dos.
