“I can be quite lazy at night, so I leave my beauty products by my bedside and apply them while in bed. It’s almost like DIY-ing my own spa treatment – I gently massage the products into my skin using a gliding movement, and finish by pressing my palms against my entire face to ‘push’ in any remaining skincare.”
“I’m not fussy with facial cleansers, so any drugstore one will do. My only criteria is that they don’t cause breakouts or dry out my sensitive combination skin. Instead of a moisturiser, I prefer to apply a thin layer of Skin Inc’s Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask ($72), which absorbs quickly and is better than other day creams I’ve tried. Lastly: sunscreen. My current choice is Kiehl’s Ultra Light Daily UV Defense SPF50/PA+++ ($52), because it’s so lightweight, it makes makeup glide on so easily.“
“I remove my makeup with Caudalie’s Micellar Cleansing Water ($44), which is effective without irritating skin. For stubborn waterproof mascara, baby oil works wonders. I exfoliate twice to thrice weekly, and one of my favourite scrubs is Fresh’s Sugar Face Polish ($95). The sugar granules in it dissolve as you use it, making it less abrasive, while still sloughing away surface dead skin cells. It’s also got the loveliest sweet scent.”
“After cleansing, I apply SK-II’s Facial Treatment Lotion ($94) and Essence ($191). Both help balance and clarify skin. This is followed by my customised Skin Inc My Daily Dose serum ($169). It contains Ceramide, Hyaluronic and Licorice, which jointly hydrate, plump and soothe sensitivity – it’s basically everything I need in one product.”
“To end, I use a thick layer of Skin Inc’s Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask ($72) in place of a night-time facial moisturiser, and Kiehl’s Creme de Corps ($90), my favourite body moisturiser as it’s not sticky.”
“Always exfoliate because makeup goes on best with squeaky clean skin. If my skin is feeling sensitive, I’ll use Fresh’s Rose Face Mask ($95), which hydrates, soothes and gets rid of patchy redness. The rest of the time, I’ll use Skin Inc’s Get Glowin’ Brightening Mask ($98) as it instantly brightens my complexion.”
“Skin Inc’s Pure Revival Peel ($71), which gently removes dead skin cells, leaving skin softer, smoother and brighter; its Deepsea Hydrating Mask ($72) to moisturise; and My Daily Dose customised concoction ($169), which is also from the brand. All of them are fuss-free, effective, and come in mini travel-size versions.”
“Skin Inc’s Oxy Miracle Infusion (this two-step treatment includes a gentle peel, followed by a calming infusion of oxygen and onsen water to soothe and brighten). It deep cleanses, but is really gentle, which means zero redness or irritation.”
