Occasional breakouts are common amongst many women (even I, too, get pimples appearing on my chin and forehead). So when that happens, I prefer switching up some products in my skincare regime to immediately address the issue and prevent that tiny pimple from growing to a huge one. Below, I share my must-have products to treat acne and breakouts.
I prefer using gel cleansers whenever my skin breakouts because they are oil-free. I particularly love using this calming one as it is non-drying (it contains litchi extract and deep sea water to protect, soothe and hydrate skin) and suitable for sensitive skin.
After cleansing, I will apply a toner which contains salicylic acid to remove pore blockage and acne. This is also formulated with vitamins B3 and B5 to reduce inflammation and repair skin.
I personally feel that clay masks are a must as it helps to dry up blemishes. This contains rose clay, which helps remove stubborn dirt from my pores and is also formulated with Canadian willowherb and jojoba beads to restore skin clarity and exfoliate.
This lightweight, oil-free serum clears out pore-clogging debris and removes excess sebum. It also makes my skin feel smoother and minimises the appearance of enlarged pores.
Here’s why I’m obsessed with this product: not only does it help get rid of acne, it also helps to perk up dull, tired skin (and if you know me, one of my main skin concerns is how tired my complexion looks).
With an anti-acne and anti-bacteria formula featuring highly concentrated vitamin B3, this spot treatment helps to relieve discomfort, remove pimples and prevent further scarring.
