The choices are endless this week. Chanel’s new beauty boutique at Parkway Parade has everything from iconic scents to its skincare offering. And speaking of famous fragrances, Dior introduces a trilogy of scents that features scents from as far back as 2004.
With mask-wearing optional outside, now’s the time as any to flaunt a new lip look, with Mac and Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty launching new extra creamy lipsticks. On the sustainability front, Oribe promises to reduce its carbon footprint while keeping your hair sweet-smelling and clean with its launch of shampoo and conditioner refill pouches. More below.
PSA: Eastsiders can now get their fix of Chanel beauty products at Chanel Beauty’s new standalone boutique at Parkway Parade. The space features a skincare wall that lets you explore its premium skincare collection, Sublimage. A fan of Chanel’s iconic Chanel N°5 perfume, or perhaps another one of the brand’s well-known scents? The space also houses a fragrance bar which stocks the likes of Les Exclusifs de Chanel, a collection of the House’s signature scents inspired by different chapters of their founder’s life. To top it all off, the boutique also offers a discovery table of all current available Chanel makeup products, which you can peruse along with a consultation from Chanel’s beauty consultants and make-up artists.
Chanel Fragrance & Beauty Boutique is located at #01-20/21 Parkway Parade and opens daily from 10am to 10pm.
Inspired by his first visit to Dior’s well-known boutique on 30 Avenue Montaigne in 2004, Perfume Creation Director Francis Kurkdijian re-introduces the fragrances Eau Noir, Cologne Blanche and Bois d’Argent as a limited-edition series, re-bottled into understated, transparent 40ml bottles to honour its natural colour and creation from that year. The trio of scents represent fundamental notes of perfumery: lavender is featured heavily in Eau Noir; sweet orange blossom is used in Cologne Blanche; and iris is blended with incense smoke to create Bois d’Argent.
Trilogy Limited Series Box ($540) is available exclusively on Dior Beauty Online Boutique. The re-edition of Eau Noire, Cologne Blanche, Bois d’Argent fragrances will also be available from Sep 2022 in all formats ($180 for 40ml, $370 for 125ml and $550 for 250ml) at La Collection Privee Christian Dior boutique in Ion Orchard and on Dior Beauty Online Boutique
Selena Gomez’s breakout beauty brand, Rare Beauty, has added a line of matte lipsticks ($32) and lip liners ($25) called Kind Words to its repertoire. And unlike traditional matte lips which trade a drying formula for long-lasting wear, Kind Words features a creamy, buttery formula that also boasts plenty of pigmentation that stays on all day. The formula is moisturising, waterproof, and smudge-proof and available in 10 classic neutral shades. Use Kind Words matte lipsticks and lip liners separately to layer over your other favourite lip products. But for a truly finished look, their matte lipsticks and lip liners are all designed in made-to-match shades.
Rare Beauty is exclusively available at Sephora stores as well as on www.sephora.sg and in-app.
Love M.A.C’s Powder Kiss lipsticks? The new Powder Kiss Velvet Blur Slim Stick ($46) features the brand’s beloved formula re-worked for an even better, smoother, moisturising pigmented lip product. The 12-shade range – spanning colours like bright orange, soft nudes, and corals – has a creamy feel with a soft matte finish.
The Mac Powder Kiss Velvet Blur Slim Stick is available at M.A.C. counters islandwide (except Sephora) and through M.A.C’s Home Concierge service. It will launch on www.sephora.sg on July 5 and at in-store counters islandwide from July 14
There’s no need to purchase new bottles of your haircare products each time it runs out – at least, not with Oribe’s new one-litre refill pouches. The luxury haircare brand introduces its refill pouches for some of its bestselling shampoos and conditioners.
These sustainable refill pouches use 71 per cent less single-use plastic than its regular plastic bottles and are available in its restore and repair haircare line, Gold Lust ($198 for shampoo, $230 for conditioner); its Signature line ($186 for shampoo, $198 for conditioner); and its Beautiful Colour line for coloured hair ($186 for shampoo, $212 for conditioner).
And there’s a handy Hair Alchemy kit (which includes samples of Oribe’s Hair Alchemy Resilience shampoo, conditioner and serum) up for grabs, with a minimum spend of $150 this month.
The new Oribe refill pouches are available on Oribe.com and at Oribe salon partners
