Three’s New Skincare Line Is Every Urbanite’s Dream Come True

by SOFIA KIM  /   March 28, 2018

If you live in a city where pollution is common, you are constantly exposed to hidden airborne pollutants that can cause serious health issues such as cancer and heart diseases. But besides damaging our health, these pollutants can also cause our skin to deteriorate. Pollution, dust and dirt are common factors we face on a daily basis when living in the city and these can weaken the skin’s natural defense ability, leading to further skin problems such as pigmentation and premature ageing.

To combat this growing issue, Japanese beauty brand Three, which is known for its skin-loving philosophy and the natural ingredients, has just launched the Three Line, which is developed to improve skin’s immunity against the environmental and lifestyle stressors we, urbanites, face on a daily basis.

True to its ethos, the formulations of each product contains a blend of organic essential oils and botanical ingredients to restore and strengthen skin and restore balance that has been disrupted by modern day living. It also alleviates concerns such as sensitivity caused by a weakened skin barrier. The key ingredients, laurel leaf oil and frankincense oil, also deliver a slightly sweet, refreshing and spicy scent to relieve stress and tension. Below, the products you need to add to your regime.

Three's New Skincare Line Is Every Urbanite's Dream Come True
#1: Three Cleansing Oil, $68

A makeup remover with a smooth texture that gently but thoroughly cleanses skin by removing accumulated impurities such as makeup, excess keratin and air pollutants. This is formulated with a slew of botanical extracts and essential oils such as yellow Himalayan raspberry root extract and frankincense oil to moisturise and firm skin so that it does not feel dry even after cleansing. After prolonged use, this is said to bring back skin’s innate glow and clarity.

#2: Three Clearing Foam, $58

This is an anti-inflammatory facial wash that thoroughly washes away impurities in a rich and fluffy lather as well as balances skin’s pH levels, leaving it feeling clean and soft without any tautness, even in areas that are prone to dryness. It is formulated with shea butter to preserve the protective layer of the skin to maximise its moisturising properties and mandarin orange oil to brighten for an overall plumper and more radiant complexion.

#3: Three Treatment Lotion, $98

This lotion helps to soften and tone for a firmer and plumper complexion. It also guards against dryness and damage caused by UV rays. With a slightly thick and smooth texture that does not feel too heavy on the skin, it penetrates quickly to relieve any skin damage. It contains fossilised coral powder, which has a purifying property to remove dead skin cells to a reveal clearer, cleaner complexion, as well as hydrating striped bamboo water.

#4: Three Treatment Emulsion, $109

This light emulsion soothes weakened skin, hydrates and restores a healthy balance of moisture and sebum to prevent the entry of harmful environmental aggressors into the skin. It is also infused with rose water to brighten, firm and improve elasticity as well as jojoba oil to hydrate and regulate skin’s natural oil production.

#5: Three Treatment Cream, $130

With a smooth non-sticky texture, this cream locks in moisture while protecting the skin against external aggressors, leaving it feeling silky smooth. It also contains a host of botanical oils such as yuzu seed oil, which contains three times the amount of vitamin C to brighten and restore the skin’s healthy balance, as well as sesame oil, which is enriched with antioxidant-rich vitamins E and K to hydrate and protect skin from harmful pollutants.
