Urban Decay Is Discontinuing The OG Naked Eyeshadow Palette, But Here Are 7 Others To Fill The Void

We tell you where to snag the remaining Urban Decay Naked Palettes, and recommend seven more in its place.

by SOFIA KIM  /   August 28, 2018

First launched in 2010, the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette is to be discontinued after a long-running eight years on the shelves. It has no doubt become one of the most iconic neutral eyeshadow palettes to date — its versatile shades suited most skin tones, and the highly pigmented and blendable formulas were great for both beginners and pros alike. The 12-shade palette featured shimmer and matte hues great for creating a variety of looks, so if you have yet to own one (or are looking to stockpile before Urban Decay stops production) the Naked Palette will be available until they run out at all Sephora locations, on lazada.sg, and at Urban Decay stores.

Otherwise, you’ll find seven other options above to fill the void.

#1: Born To Run Palette, $76

From jewel tones to modern neutrals and mattes, this 21-shade eyeshadow palette features the most pigmented colours that blend like a dream to create a variety of looks from a sultry smokey eye to a natural everyday eye look.

#2: Balktalk Palette, $72

Inspired by the brand’s cult favourite Vice Lipstick shade Backtalk, this comes with eight nude-mauve, soft berry and muted rose eyeshadows on one side and four coordinating shades of blush and highlighter on the other.  Each shade also contains the brand’s Pigment Infusion System for velvety, bright pigments that blend easily, stay rich and last for hours.

#3: Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette, $83

This boasts 12 amber-hued neutrals including dark coppers and terracotta shades to create the perfect red eyeshadow look that’s slightly more modern and glamorous without going overboard.

#4: Naked Petite Heat Palette, $46

A more travel-friendly option, this contains six all-new shades (five mattes and one shimmer) inspired by the brand’s Heat Palette. It’s so sleek and compact that you can even fit in your purse.

#5: Naked 3 Palette, $83

These rose-hued neutrals in matte, pearl and metallic finishes are super wearable and will appeal to all girly girls.

#6: Afterglow Highlighter Palette, $52

Each lightweight and finely milled shade (there’s a blusher, highlighter and bronzer) features a creamy formula that feels buttery soft on the skin, blends easily and reportedly lasts for up to eight hours.

#7: Distortion Eyeshadow Palette, $78

This fun palette features five unique shades in the top row that are known to be reflective pigments to create a dramatic eye makeup look. What else we love about it: the interconnected lines between the pans that help give different shade combination ideas.
