Six months after meeting online, we decided to get married. Of course, we’d both been in a couple of relationships before, but this one just felt so right. One fact in our favour was we shared similar values in life, especially when it came to family matters. Richard proposed when I least expected him to. he took me out to dinner and surprised me when we got home. He’d taken the afternoon off to secretly deck my apartment in fairy lights and flowers. It was very touching as he also showed me a video of our journey together. I didn’t realise we’d done so much in a short time together.
We had the best time ever. There were many touching moments during our reception; my bridesmaids’ performances, speeches by our siblings and close friends, and seeing our parents cry for the first time during our thank-you speech. Kudos to our wedding planner, Vivian Ngiam of Chere Weddings & Parties who saw to it that everything flowed seamlessly.
