The Best Jewellery Styles For Your Wedding Dress
Plunging Neckline

Echo the deep, narrow V neckline with a long necklace, like a lariat or long pendant. It draws the eye downwards, and helps slim as well as elongate your torso. A deep V neckline also helps make a short neck look slimmer and longer.

Ziegfeld Collection pearl tassel necklace in sterling silver. Cartier Magicien white gold diamond ring. Dannijo silver-plated choker with Swarovski crystals, from www.net-a-porter.com. Damiani Masterpiece Fiocco white gold diamond earrings.

Scoop Neckline

A delicate pendant that sits between your bust and collar bones is perfect for this feminine neckline. But if you do go for a statement necklace, opt for one that leaves a sliver of skin bare so it doesn’t overwhelm your look. Alternatively, skip the necklace and go for pretty sparkly earrings for subtle shine.

Strapless gown

With a strapless, straight neckline, there are a plethora of jewellery options for you to choose from. A chunky princess necklace exudes glamour while long multi-strands lend a more relaxed vibe. Statement earrings are also fab for giving a simple dress extra oomph.

Sweetheart Neckline

This flattering neckline is unsurprisingly one of the most popular styles. As a general rule of thumb, stick to princess-length necklaces or ones with pendants that rest below your collar bones.

Off-the-Shoulder Neckline

Aside from being a wardrobe staple right now, the off-shoulder has also made its way into the bridal scene. Two of the hottest ways to accessorise an off-shoulder now: Chokers and statement earrings.

If you’re wearing a dress with short sleeves, add extra panache with bangles on each wrist.

Wide V Neckline

Like the plunging neckline, have your necklace mirror the shape of your neckline. A plain gown is also the perfect canvas for a standout brooch. You can pin it right at the bottom of the V, or to the side, as you would with a lapel pin.

Gown, Kaviar Gauche Spring 2017.

Clockwise from top left: Tiffany Blue Book 2016 diamond earrings. Cartier Magicien platinum, onyx, emerald and diamond necklace. Kennth Jay Lane gold-plated, crystal and faux pearl brooch, from www.net-a-porter.com.

High Neckline

A high-necked gown doesn’t require much accessorising, especially if it’s ornately detailed. Think a statement ring that doesn’t interfere with your neckline, or even a ear cuff for an edgy spin – just be sure to opt for slicked-back tresses or an updo.

Clockwise from top left: Cartier Magicien white gold, black lacquer and diamond ear cuffs. 24K gold and silver-plated brass earrings with Swarovski crystals, as well as ring, from www.efratcassouto.com.

Square Neckline

The square neckline is a classic and elegant style, which looks sophisticated just by accenting with drop or chandelier earrings. For necklaces, stick to rounded shapes, like a princess or collar that sits near your collar bones. Otherwise, keep it simple with a modern tiara for a timelessly gorgeous do.

Clockwise from top left: Cartier Magicien white gold, rubellite, black laquer and diamond necklace. Juliette diamond earrings, from Damiani. Swaorovski crystal tiara, from www.jenniferbehr.com.
