#1: The Black Swan

Located in a historic Art Deco building, the Great Gatsby-esque bistro offers starters like smoked beef tartare and mains like grain-fed US beef this festive season. Those with an incurable sweet tooth should not miss decadent desserts like a dark chocolate dome with brandied cherries topped with gingerbread spice. There’ll be a carving station set up on Christmas night too.

 The contemporary grill restaurant, housed in a chic Parisian salon setting, will launch a Christmas dinner set from Dec 20-25 comprising its signature offerings, like a charcuterie and three-meat terrine served with pistachio and cauliflower, alongside Yuletide staples like a Yorkshire pudding.

Dine in Dempsey Hill’s iconic chapel this month and get to enjoy exquisitely crafted dishes from their festive set menus, including a crispy roasted guinea fowl served on top of sweet chestnut puree and braised kale. The best bit: all guests will get a complimentary glass of Prosecco for the second seating for its Christmas Day brunch.

 The traditional Japanese steakhouse comes with an open kitchen concept where you can watch the chefs at work. Try specials from their Seasonal Winter Special menu (from Nov 23-Jan 3), such as thinly-sliced sashimi with bonito-infused vinaigrette jelly and charcoal-grilled Japanese red king crab.

Adjacent to Angie’s Oyster Bar, the modern American steakhouse overlooking Marina Bay is offering an all-American Christmas dinner from Dec 14-26. Must-tries: the roasted turkey with hazelnut and corn stuffings and honey baked ham served with apple and red cabbage salad.

 With ceiling-high windows and cheery decor, the hotel’s foremost dining venue is offering flavourful delights in its festive buffets from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day. Besides mainstays like roasted turkey glazed with apple-honey, expect a variety of seafood items such as snow crabs and freshly shucked oysters. The best bit: Free-flow champagne, beer, wine, soft drinks and juices and a tempting array of desserts.

With sleek leather booths and soft lighting, this chic seafood restaurant exudes a warm atmosphere. Until Dec 30, sample its Pelican Festive Feast with succulent selections of raw oysters, steamed lobsters, prawns and crabs as well as their signature smoked salmon dill pie, which comes filled with chunky grilled salmon pieces in a crumbly pastry puff.

The Singapore outpost of the popular Parisien tearoom brings you two seasonal set menus this Christmas. Partake of French classics like pan-seared foie gras and baked duck breast in its month-long special menu, and enjoy hearty mains like a mustard and brandy roast beef and a roast turkey served with cranberry sauce in its four-course menu, which is only available from Dec 24-25 (advance booking required), . Don’t leave without trying their signature desserts – we’re partial to their eclairs.

 The newly revamped dining space next to Fullerton Hotel has quite the menu in store. Savour starters like a porcini mushroom “smoothie” sprinkled with foie gras and crunchy kale, and indulgent mains like grain-fed prime ribeye steak with sauteed vegetables, truffle and port wine sauce. Post-dinner, while away the time at the open-air rooftop bar with eggnogs and mulled ciders.
