Restaurant Week returns for its 12th edition next month (Mar 19-26) with the theme “Feasts Of The Ocean”.

by ISABEL ONG  /   February 25, 2016

If you’re not a fan of Restaurant Week already, you’re truly missing out. The dining event returns for its 12th edition next month (Mar 19-26) with the theme “Feasts Of The Ocean”, where restaurants will offer three-course menus for lunch and dinner at $28++ and $38++ respectively (more pricey options  ranging from $40++ to $58++ will be at Dining City Star-Awarded joints). Isabel Ong recommends five dining establishments that are new to the line-up to grab seats at once booking opens next Monday, Feb 29.

5 New Dining Spots Join Singapore Restaurant Week Line-Up
#1: Il Lido At The Cliff

The popular Italian fine dining establishment has relocated to the Sofitel Sentosa Resort & Spa (where The Cliff used to be). Head here for the breathtaking views of the South China Sea amidst a quietly elegant (read: not showy) atmosphere. Sofitel Sentosa Resort & Spa, 2 Bukit Manis Road, tel: 6708-8310

#2: Dehesa

Adventurous eaters will like it here: The Spanish restaurant prides itself on serving offal dishes (it champions “nose to tail eating”), so expect items like pig’s ear and duck hearts to land on your table on any ordinary day. 12 North Canal Road, tel: 6221-7790

#3: Kaiserhaus

Opened last July at swanky new shopping destination Capitol Piazza, Kaiserhaus offers authentic dishes from the 19th-century Habsburg Empire, which once covered countries like Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic and the Ukraine. Classic European dishes on the menu abound, like Austrian national dishes Tafelspitz (boiled beef or veal in broth) and schnitzel. #02-06/#03-06 Capitol Piazza, tel: 6377-0013

#4: Portico Prime

The modern European restaurant, helmed by an all-Singapoream team of chefs, opened its doors last December. Its specialty: using made-in-Singapore ingredients like barramundi from Pulau Ubin and locally-farmed chicken. #01-20 10 Dempsey Road, tel: 6474-7427

#5: Alati

It’s one of the five new restaurants we recommended recently, and is widely regarded as one of the few places in Singapore to get authentic Greek cuisine amidst a Santorini-esque interior.
