The Coolest August 2018 Parties To Be Seen At
#1: Extra Sauce, 24 August (Friday)
image

Sauce is a new weekly Friday hip-hop night (it had its launch party earlier in July) held at Canvas anchored by DJ SoundsOfFai and MC Mr Boo. But on the last Friday of every month, the club will throw an upsized version of the party dubbed as Extra Sauce and this upcoming edition will see DJs Fvder, KFaith and Gaby helming the decks. Additionally, each party-goer will receive exclusive monthly event stickers. P/S: there will even be a special collaboration you seriously don’t want to miss out on. #B1-01 20 Upper Circular Road, 10.30pm till 3am. Tickets are priced at $25

#2: Transfix presents Marlo with David Gravell, supported by Hong, 18 August (Saturday)

Better known by his moniker Marlo, the Australia-based trance DJ-producer will finally be returning to our shores and making his Zouk Singapore debut. He will be spinning alongside Dutch trance DJ-producer David Gravell for a night filled with your favourite mashup of techno, psytrance and house music. 3C River Valley Road, 9pm-4am, $35 and $45 (for women and men respectively)

#3: Hip Hop KTV, 8 August (Wednesday)

If you have yet to make plans on the eve of National Day, then you should definitely drop by Canvas. Hosted by TheLionCityBoy, this is where you can sing along to your favourite hip-hop tracks – think A$ap Ferg’s Plain Jane and Drake’s Hotline Bling – and party the night away.
How it works: Each night will feature a user-generated live performance backed by resident DJ SoundsOfFai (S.O.F) and hypeman MC Mr Boo. #B1-01 20 Upper Circular Road, 10.30pm till 4am. Tickets are priced at $20

#4: Bang Bang's 4th Anniversary BASH - Pillow Fight Edition, 4 August (Saturday)
image

Bang Bang is turning four this month and as the event name suggests, it will be throwing a huge pyjama party (yes, this means you can actually come dressed in your most stylish PJs). Expect a round of pillow fights, a laser show and numerous balloons decorating the space. And if you’re the first 100 guests, you might just receive a complimentary Belvedere drink. 7 Raffles Boulevard, Marina Square, 10pm till 6am. Free entry

#5: Mambo Jambo with Jeremy Boon & Leonard, 21 August (Tuesday)
image

Possibly one of the longest running party concepts in Singapore, Mambo Jambo is back for another round and it’s the party to be seen at if you’re itching for some good ol’ throwback hits. The popular series will feature timeless 80s classics and hits to boogie, groove and reminiscent to. 3C River Valley Road, 9pm-4am, $35 and $45 (for women and men respectively)
