The Best Restaurants To Dine At On New Year’s Eve

Before heading off to the countdown parties, it’s always best to fill your tummy with a scrumptious meal. And if you have yet to book a restaurant for the 31st of December, here are the places with available slots (and special menus) to dine at.

#1: Dining On Cloud 9

This intimate sky dining concept within a cable car cabin is ideal for couples looking for a romantic New Year’s Eve dinner. Enjoy the exclusive and delectable four-course New Year’s Eve special menu (($328++) comprising of a welcome drink, starters followed by a choice of three different mains (veloute of butternut pumpkin and prawns, teriyaki monkfish fillet or cajun spiced beef short rib) and of course, dessert. The menu also includes two glasses of house wine and a box of chocolates. P/S: you have to book three days in advance if you’re keen on this.

#2: Dusk Restaurant and Bar

If you plan on dining with a spectacular view, then you have to visit Dusk Restaurant and Bar. Perched 100-metres above sea level at Faber Peak Singapore and surrounded by lush greenery, expect your dinner served with a breathtaking backdrop of the sunset. For New Year’s Eve, the restaurant has prepared a four-course wine pairing set menu ($135++), which takes you on an epicurean expedition where each course is paired with sparkling, white, red and dessert wine. If you’re not a fan of wine, you can opt out from the wine menu ($110++) and have the other courses as per usual. And yes, dessert is provided.

#3: Spuds and Aprons

Here’s another restaurant to take in stunning, panoramic hilltop views overlooking Sentosa island and Harbourfront. Spuds and Aprons is the perfect place to have your last meal of the year at. With a special four-course set menu available only on 31 December, it consists of a salad and soup followed by your choice of two different mains (slow-based cajun spiced beef short rib or pan-seared barramundi fillet with squid ink) and a chocolate chestnut cream with anise taro fritter and whiskey sauce to end off your meal.

#4: Zafferano

From 5:30pm to 8:00pm, early patrons will be able to dine against the backdrop of the crowning sunset and savour the exquisite three-course dinner ($128++) curated by head chef Marco Guccio. From a refreshing appetiser of fresh Hokkaido scallops tartare in ceviche style with blood orange coulis ossetra Russian caviar to a variety of mains such as house-made tagliolini with Canadian lobster and full-flavoured sous-vide tajima wagyu beef short ribs, you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice.

#5: Kilo Kallang

With a selection of specially-curated dishes by the executive head chef of Grain Traders Gisela Salazar Golding and the executive head chef of Kilo Kallang Keith Wan, indulge in the tantalising menu featuring old and new dishes such as salmon poke with watermelon, sesame, shiso and sesame cracker ($18), sea urchin with matcha cream, earl grey, and garden pickles ($28) and Australian grain-fed beef cheek guisado with congee, bone marrow, and watercress ($36). Dessert-wise, opt for the mezcal poached plums with raspberries and pear, mascarpone gelato and coffee ($12).

#6: Monti

If you plan on pampering your loved-ones with a spectacular meal, then you should definitely head over to Monti @ 1-Pavilion. The restaurant has prepared an option of a four-course ($180++), which includes a glass of Veuve Clicquot, and a six-course ($350++), which includes a glass of Dom Perignon, dinner menu to indulge in. Choose from a wide selection of mains such as charcoal-grilled USDA prime ribeye and lobster and prawn ravioli that will definitely satisfy your cravings.

#7: Wildseed Bar

This laidback New Year’s Eve party at Wildseed Bar will transform The Summerhouse’s lush edible garden into a massive cook-out. The space will be decorated with dainty fairy lights and lawn games for a fun, communal dining experience. Expect a hearty selection of grilled meat, fresh seafood and drink packages. Early birds will relish treats like watermelon pops, taco-in-a-bag and deliciously melty grilled marshmallows on the house from 7pm – 9pm.

#8: The Black Swan

On New Year’s Eve, The Black Swan will present an extravagant five-course menu ($118++) featuring a refreshing Hokkaido scallop crudo with brown butter ponzu and pickled kohlrabi, Maine lobster bisque with a grilled half-lobster and single malt scotch whiskey and lastly, a 75 days dry-aged ribeye. Yum.
