The long-running Mosaic Music Series by Esplanade is back with a very strong international lineup, including artists from countries like Norway, Denmark and Japan. Highlights that you shouldn’t miss: Canadian singer-songwriter Feist, a four-time Grammy Award nominee who just released her sixth studio album, Pleasure, as well as local electronic band Canvas Conversations and musician FERRY, who will put on a show in collaboration with visual artist Aqilah Misuary. This is the month for the film fanatic – apart from the French Film Festival, the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) is also returning for its 28th anniversary. Two programs stand out for this year’s edition of the festival – the 15th anniversary of I Not Stupid and Talking Cock The Movie, and Classics: Secret Spies Never Die! English indie rock band alt-J is retuning to our sunny shores after their last concert here in 2015. Promoting their third studio album, Relaxer, the Mercury Prize winning trio is known for breaking out onto the music scene with their critically acclaimed debut album, An Awesome Wave, back in 2012.
