Dara Park: The Original Queen Of K-Pop In The Spotlight

Dara Park was part of one of the most successful K-pop girl groups of the 2010s who still could command a crowd. Just cue the adoration of screaming fans when she popped by in Singapore for the opening of Kate Spade New York’s first-ever global pop-up store at Ion Orchard last March. In August 2019, we got up close and personal with Park and celebrated our first K-cover star.

She’s our answer to Sia, hiding her face behind a visor as she cranks out addictively jaunty pop tunes on her laptop. Fresh off the success she found on China’s electronic music talent show Rave Now, she wanted all the more to be recognised as our answer to Daft Punk. Jasmine Sokko lifted the mask on her bold music ambitions in an interview in May 2019.
