Marmalade Pantry doesn’t need much of an introduction for their sweet-loving cupcakes — and you’re able to enjoy the taste of this sugary dessert with their High Tea set. Priced at $38 for two, their hearty afternoon treat includes 2 pots of teas (you’re given the option of either black, green, fruity or white teas), a selection of egg & cress, beef & horseradish and green land shrimp finger sandwiches, buttermilk scones with candied orange & cranberry, strawberry preserve, clotted cream, and of course, two of their highly coveted cupcakes of choice.

TWG is the place where baroque art lovers meets tea connoisseurs. This Versailles styled fine dining restaurant may seem a little over the budget for many, but we beg to differ. Despite their intimidating extensive tea menu that exudes luxury, you’re actually able to enjoy a hearty afternoon tea session just below $20. With their 1837 tea time menu priced at $19 per pax, you’ll get to enjoy one of the fanciest afternoon tea session with your girlfriends while you savour tasty delights (either two freshly baked muffins, or scones, or a patisserie from their trolley) and sip on some tea (either hot or cold). Always remember to stick your pinkies out while you pick up your teacups.

From the rustic wooden furniture and metal grills, to their vintage themed ornaments and antique car display (which btw, is converted to a seating area), Brunches Cafe is the perfect place for old souls to indulge in a teatime tete-a-tete. Take a trip down memory lane with your posse while you savour their High Tea set, which will cost $32 for two. Served in a decadent three tiered bird cage, their tasty set includes sliders, mini tarts, a range of assorted cakes and a pot of tea from six of their house blends — such as their berry-infused “Beauty” tea and oolong with chamomile “Slow Down & Relax” tea.

Their Weekend High Tea set is buffet style, which means you can eat your hearts out. At $19.90 (for one), chow down large quantities on food, which includes a wide selection of local and international treats like dim sum, chocolate pastries, traditional kuehs and sushis, with no regret. Don’t stop until you drop.

Can’t decide between sweet or savoury snacks for a quick afternoon bite? Head over to Arteastiq for a cheery treat, since its tea set is bursting with the mix of different flavours. Their Signature Teasery tea set will cost you $48 for two, which is accompanied with two specialty teas of your choice (we’d recommend the Chocolate Truffle tea for the brave, or the Osmanthus Oolong tea to refresh your palette) and an assortment of sweet and savoury treats, like chocolate cone with banana custard and foie gras terrine on toast with yuzu marmalade and crushed pistachios. You wouldn’t expect to find a quaint and Instagram worthy cafe to be sitting inside a refurbished colonial house. Located at Seletar Aerospace Drive, not only is Wildseed Cafe’s dried floral interior easy on the eye (and your ‘Grams), their Afternoon Tea Set is definitely worth the try. Price at $40 for two, the delectable set includes two sweet treats — which you can choose from either their citronella passionfruit cheesecake, kaffir lime chocolate heaven, avocado keylime tart or spiced pineapple coconut cake — a chicken pinche petit sandwich and two cups of coffee or tea. Fancy something more luxe? Splurge $20 extra to trade up your coffee/tea for two glasses of bubbly Prosecco.

Housed in ParkRoyal hotel on Pickering, Lime Patisserie’s latest, refreshed version of the Tiers of Joy afternoon tea set is a must-try. Priced at $52, their Tiers of Joy includes unlimited servings of specialty coffee and TWG tea, plus a high tea set — which comprises of pastries and savouries like passionfruit meringue tart and snow crab with green apple open-faced sandwich, specially crafted by Lime’s pastry chef Candy Lu.
