Salone del Mobile – the most prestigious event in the home and design field – has just passed and every year, more and more fashion brands partake in this yearly gathering of the best furniture designs around the world. Some, such as Cos and Bulgari opt for experiential installations while Armani Casa and Bottega Veneta have full-fledged home collections. If you’re looking to deck out your pad, these are some of the most stylish furniture you can get your hands on right now.
Louis Vuitton’s signature home collection, Objet Nomades, has just been expanded into smaller objects compared to previous years – expect vases, trays, table mirrors and more. As usual, the French house has collaborated with some of the top names in design, such as Humberto & Fernando Campana, Atelier Oï, Patricia Urquiola, and Marcel Wanders, for a collection called ““Les Petits Nomades” – basically the little nomads.
The result is a collection full of playful, organic colours and shapes, as evidenced in these leather trays by Atelier Oi.
This cushion, as you can tell from the name, is made of many leather folds to form a geometric floral motif. J’adore.
A mirror crafted with Louis Vuitton’s signature Nomade leather, it comprises of a central octagon surrounded by 25 smaller triangles – wouldn’t look out of place on a vanity table during the ’20s, we imagine.
Part of a special collaboration between Bottega Veneta’s Tomas Maier and famed Italian designer Osanna Visconti di Modrone (she’s known for her cast-bronze furniture), this day bed features the Italian house’s familiar woven motif in a monochromatic colour scheme. Forget about going on safari in style, I’d be happy to lie in this at home.
I love mid-century furniture and this industrial-chic chair is a beauty with its aged patina.
If the previous model is too austere for your taste, how about this armchair with (what looks to be) a mottled calf hair finish?
As far as I’m concerned, this is the centrepiece of Armani Casa’s latest collection – a small dresser with an exquisitely painted veneer reminiscent of an Impressionist piece.
