Stemmed from the wordplay of slushies and ceviches (a Peruvian dish made out of fresh raw fish cured in citrus juices), this restaurant features a simple but comprehensive yet refreshing menu of five ceviches, two slushies and three creative cocktails to delight the tropical palette.

If brunch is your favourite meal of the day, then you have to check out Porta as it has just revamped its menu and will be serving up brunch sets from 8am to 4pm daily (yes, even on weekdays). With the refreshed menu, expect a mouthwatering spread of savoury and hearty brunch treats such as Mangalica ham stuffed croque-madame and a Spanish breakfast of cannellini beans, spicy pork chorizo, tomato coulis and baked eggs.

Known for serving up hearty and flavoursome gluten and dairy-free meals, Open Door Policy has just added six new alternative weekend brunch specials for diners to indulge in, without being doused in guilt. Start your day proper with some fruity options such as mango pancakes ($21++) served with homemade mango sorbet or opt for a bowl of banana granola breakfast ($21++). For a quick hangover cure, try out the roasted eggplant with hot chilli beans (S$23++), madras curry eggs benedict (S$25++) and even the chili pork con carne wrap (S$26++) made with spicy ground pork and scrambled eggs.
