It’s no secret that we’re all waiting for 2020 to come to an end – and crossing our fingers that things will get better in 2021. Come year-end, ushering in the new year will be starkly different too.
Gone are the mass parties at Siloso Beach and even the fireworks display at Marina Bay Sands. If you’re looking for pop star performances and a “grand” countdown, you’ll have to settle for virtual celebrations from your screen at home (check out Countdown To 2021 With Tomorrowland and New Year’s Eve @ Times Square).

But like us, you’ve probably been cooped up at home for much of the year and may wish to head out with family and friends. With social gatherings kept to eight during Phase Three, here’s where you can head to for an
intimate New Year’s Eve celebration.
Why go: Super Loco is here to remind you that the new year need not be all doom and gloom. Their fun retro-themed party (from $200 ++ per pax) includes hits from the ’70s and four hours of free-flow margaritas, bubbly, wine and beer. Besides drinking the night away, you can also look forward to a four-course line-up of seafood appetisers, as well as delicious Mexican mains like achiote de pollo and wagyu flank steak with Mexican papas.
Where to book: Limited tickets available at EventBrite.

Why go: Rooftop celebrations will always be in, especially at Andaz Singapore’s swanky bar Mr Stork. Its New Year’s Eve Celebration Package starts from $178++ per person, and includes free-flow bar snacks, Delamotte champagne, house-pour spirits, beers and wines. While there won’t be fireworks this year, you’ll get a bird eye’s view of the Marina Bay area’s lights display show. Mysteriously themed ‘Secrets, Spices and Vices’, the Lobby Bar will be serving up free-flow bubbly, beer, juices and bar snacks. Consider staying the night with curated room packages ($575++) that include complimentary breakfast for two.
