Bottoms Up: 5 Restaurants And Bars Where The Booze Flows Freely

by DAVELLE LEE  /   June 23, 2017

We’ve finally come to the end of the week, and not a moment too soon. But letting your hair down can sometimes mean racking up a huge tab at the bar, which makes the hungover shame is always 10x worse than it should be. Save yourself the morning after regret with these bottomless booze venues. We’ve shortlisted five spots for unlimited alcohol when you’ve got limited cash.  TGIF – as in Thank God it’s free-flow.

Experience a spectrum of flavour from fresh and fruity to robust and spicy at the appropriately named WINESday, every Wednesday at Atrium, the swanky lounge at Pan Pacific Singapore. The wine buffet includes a selection of Australian and Chilean red and white wines, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Pair your drinks with delicious sharing plates like warm Alaskan king crab leg, wine-steeped French black mussels, mini wagyu beef sliders or a cheese platter, starting from $12.

Price: $48++ per person
When: Wednesdays, 6-9pm from 14 June to 29 November 2017
Where: Atrium Level 1, Pan Pacific Singapore, 7 Raffles Boulevard, Singapore 039595

Bonus Booze: From now till July 31, grab a bottle during Wine O’Clock at the Pacific Marketplace, the hotel’s in-house gourmet grocery and cafe, and they’ll throw in a complimentary charcuterie platter for two persons, available from 4pm to 10pm daily with selected wines starting from $58.

#2: Panorama Riverside Lounge

At this Italian wine bar, run by the folks at Pasta Fresca da Salvatore, the alcohol buffet isn’t limited to wines, sangria and beer. There’s also a spread of antipasto and pasta. You read that right – unlimited cheeses, cured meats, cold cuts and glorious, glorious carbs. The deal includes free flow of one red, one white and one sparkling wine that the restaurant keeps in rotation, all imported from Italy.

Price: $42++ per person
When: Fridays, 6-9pm
Where: Level 3, 30 Boat Quay, Singapore 049819

#3: Zafferano Italian Restaurant and Lounge

Enjoy your liquid buffet while taking in the stunning view at this modern Italian restaurant and lounge, perched on the 43rd floor of Ocean Financial Centre overlooking the Marina Bay area. Their resident DJ spins every Saturday while you sip on (or gulp down) the free-flow prosecco, beer and house wine. Alcohol aside, the restaurant serves up honest-to-goodness traditional Italian cuisine with fresh, high quality ingredients. We hear the desserts are real crowd-pleasers.

Price: $28++ per person
When: Saturdays, 8-10pm
Where: Ocean Financial Centre Level 43, 10 Collyer Quay, Singapore 049315

#4: Wine Connection Tapas Bar and Bistro

Can’t afford champagne brunch this Sunday? You don’t have to settle for less. Wine Connection Tapas Bar and Bistro serves up the bubblies for a very affordable price. Guzzle down the award-winning Camasella “Millesimato” Prosecco and soak up the laidback vibes in this unpretentious chain store. If sparkling wines aren’t your thing, fret not because the restaurant also has a range of Moscato, Rose and other selected wines at $4.90++ a glass, available from 5-7pm daily during their wine buffet.

Price: $39.90++ per person
When: Sundays, 12-3pm
Where: 11 Unity Street #01-19/20, Robertson Walk, Singapore, 237995

#5: Pool Grill

When it comes to day-drinking, Pool Grill at Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel is the ultimate enabler.  It’s a relaxing oasis in the centre of the bustling city, with a menu of modern Western dishes that’s great for a casual meal at reasonably prices – weekday lunch sets at $35++ and include an appetiser, main course and dessert. But more importantly, the Western restaurant offers unlimited red and white wine, and Peroni beer for two hours from your first glass, everyday between 11am and 8pm. Allow yourself to kickback and wind down by the pool on a workday afternoon, just because.

Price: $48++ per person
When: Every day, 11am-8pm
Where: Level 5, Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, 320 Orchard Road, Singapore 238865
