What You Should Be Wearing To Singapore’s First Ever 2-Day Festival At St. John’s Island

by SOFIA KIM  /   April 21, 2017

So when there’s no other location to throw another kick-ass party in Singapore’s main city area, where do we go to? Yup…. An island – St John’s island to be more precise.

st john's islandMusic and party champs Blackout and After Dark helmed by Joshua Adjodha (one of the brains behind Kilo) have teamed up to organise the city’s first ever two-day mini festival at the historically rich island, just a ferry ride away. Happening on 27 and 28 May, the six-hour long party will commence at noon and end with a picturesque view of the sunset away from the urbanity of Singapore.

Although the line-up (a mix of local and regional acts) has yet to be confirmed, we are pretty sure it’s gonna be sick knowing how the duo have thrown massive, ultra cool parties – read: Escape 56 and an underground rave at Bukit Merah. Other fringe activities will also be available on the island itself. What to expect: conscious festival, Green Is The New Black’s free workshops, delectable acai bowls, smoothies from Selva foods, hearty BBQ treats from Camp Kilo Charcoal Club and more to be revealed closer to the date.

Instead of hitting up your weekly favourite club or bar, you should really try out this alfresco shindig. And with such a promising line up of fun filled activities, we just had to put together the best buys to throw on for this upcoming event.
