Singapore’s premiere after-dark extravaganza is back – yeah, we’re talking about the Singapore Night Festival – for what is now its 11th edition from 17 – 25 August at the usual Bras Brasah precinct. Over the years, the marquee festival has given us plenty of memorable moments but after a decade, it’s starting to feel a little predictable.
Which is why this year, the programming’s taken on a bent towards cross-disciplinary collaborations roping in non-creative fields such as tech and engineering. “This diverse mix has resulted in some very exciting collaborations this year, and showcases the festival as a platform where people from all walks of life are able to come together to celebrate, experience and contribute to the arts,” says festival director, Angelita Teo.
