The upcoming Singapore Tea Festival will be happening on 22 and 23 July at Ion Orchard in conjunction with the annual Singapore Food Festival. The city’s first ever tea festival will feature a slew of homegrown tea brands that are reinventing the tradition of tea-drinking and tea culture. They will also be launching new tea products and tea-inspired food snacks served at the pop-up cafes which are exclusive to the event. Known for its Ceylon tea, The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. will be launching their National Day collection of teas inspired by popular hawker beverage flavours such as Bandung, Chocolate Malt and Longan.
Collaboration Tea prides itself for its inspirational quotes that come packed together with the teas. Apart from its signature blends, the brand will also be launching two new products known as Marigold Black and “Thank You for Being Our Bridesmaid” teas.
If you’re a fan of traditional Chinese tea then you’ll probably dig this brand as they are mainly known for blending both organic tea leaves and traditional Chinese herbs for a refreshing, new taste. At the event itself, four new blends and a special cold brew will be released.
This local tea company aims to make traditional teas accessible to a global audience through modern packaging (each tea is packed in a silken pyramid tea bags) designed for the everyday drinker. The newest range comprises of floral-themed teas known as The Garden Collection.
Besides teas, an array of different types of foods will be served as well. This local patisserie will not only be serving up its signature cakes, but also launching its latest range of Asian-inspired flavours from local foods such as Ondeh Ondeh and Pulut Hitam. The festival exclusive we are most excited about? Earl Grey Lemon and Earl Grey Lavender Chocolate tea cakes made from The 1872 Clipper Tea Co.’s tea blends.
Known for its all-natural botanical flavoured gelato, the popular dessert shop will bring its best-selling White Chrysanthemum gelato sprinkled with cacao nibs, as well as a new tea-inspired flavour.
