This hardware-cross-fashionable accessory was all the rage on the runway this season. From classic gold and silver chain necklaces and earrings to big playful colourful layered ones at brands like Off-White, this trend sees no stepping down from the hype it gained from street style stars last season.

If you’re one who loves statement earrings, this is the trend for you. From tiny chandeliers at Louis Vuitton to strings of crystals at Gucci, statement earrings this season were sparkly and dangling.

Single-side Earrings

A pair of giant statement earrings might seem a bit much at times, so fashion houses like Balmain and Givenchy have gone with just one side of these earrings. These babies truly take the asymmetrical trend to the next level. If you’re uncomfortable with doing away with such a big earring, try it out first with smaller earrings in your jewellery box. Who knows? It might just be your next jewellery obsession.

Functional Accessories

Fendi created earrings with pens hanging off them, Tom Ford had the phone case strap. Last season saw the rise of mini functional accessories – thanks to the airpods – and this season sees no different. These accessories are both functional and pretty, and make a good add to your wardrobe for when you don’t want to have to carry a bag along with you.

Whether channelling preppy or punk vibes, there was a hairband for every girl this season. While no puffy hairbands were spotted on the runway, this season saw some adorned bows, spikes and crystals.

From classic to baroque pearls, understated jewellery is still a popular favourite amongst fashion houses. This season, peep the mixing of hardware chains with pearls at Marco Rambaldi and Sacai, or the quirky stringing together of multiple chains at Yuhan Wang.
