Don’t Bother Altering The Length Of Your Pants This Season

Because the longer and floor-grazing your hemlines, the cooler you look.

If there’s anything to go by, this year has proven that comfort is what we gravitate towards nowadays – even when it comes to dressing up. We can’t deny the uptick in loungewear fashion and as we’ve seen in the Cruise 2021 collections, this concept is being translated beyond our everyday style.

Enter the era of the sweeping hemlines that go from the waist to the ground. It eschews tailoring convention that prescribes to the rule of thumb that pants should at least have a half-break because anything more looks sloppy.

The whole point of this new look is not so much about upturning sartorial faux pas as it is to embrace a relaxed and comfortable vibe. Hence, these loose-fitting bottoms are making a huge takeover of late, even getting a seal of approval from brands like Chanel to Gucci.

Curious about how these would look? Scroll down below to learn how these floor-grazing style can be incorporated into your attire.

For a quick and fast way to dress these bottoms up, follow Max Mara’s lead and wear pieces that similarly correspond with the colour of your sweeping hemlines.

Yes, you read that right: the Y2K treatment. Dress your relaxed pants with a crop top, baguette bag, and a fun body chain for some extra bling as seen at Chanel.

Your pants can come in denim too. As seen at Tod’s, you can even take it to the next step and go for the Canadian Tuxedo look.
