It’s been all over the news in recent weeks; airports all over the world (but particularly those in Europe) are facing snarling lines and customers frustrated with escalating delays, cancelled flights and perhaps worst of all, lost luggage.
The latter has become such a common horror story on social media that people have now taken to adding Apple’s AirTags (tracking devices) to their check-in luggage so that they can keep tabs on the location of their bags should they end up lost or delayed. (That in turn can help airport staff locate your bag faster, according to The Washington Post.)
Over and over, you’ll notice that a common piece of advice experts have for dodging unexpected problems while travelling this summer is to switch to using carry-on luggage instead of checking in. Of course, that’s not always a readily adoptable option (especially if you’re a heavy packer) but for a short getaway, we’ve rounded up some of the most stylish carriers that are cabin-size or smaller.
