Updated: The Best-Dressed Crowd At Singapore Fashion Week 2017

by HARINEE JAYAN  /   November 1, 2017

This year’s edition of Singapore Fashion Week may have been just a short three-day affair, but the fashion action on and off the runway was plenty. Here, we round up some of the stylish personalities we spotted.

Updated: The Best-Dressed Crowd At Singapore Fashion Week 2017

Actress Ann Kok’s Off-White getup proved that you can still look polished with casual pieces by opting for richer fabrics like velvet.

image

Carol Chen stuck to a fail-proof and classic colour combination of red and black with this super feminine getup.

image

A big beauty trend we spotted among the guests was an edgy dark lipstick colour — as seen on this guest at the Jason Wu show.

image

Model Fiona Fussi (left) channeled masculine chic in a plaid suit, while fellow model pal Hanli Hoefer went for a sophisticated jumpsuit.

image

How this guest stood out from the pack? She opted for a quirky tulle gown with prints of musical notes.

image

Do Gothic the stylish way by going for a slick hairdo and equally chic wardrobe pieces in black just like this guest.

image

Narelle Kheng (right) and Sandra Riley Tang (middle) of The Sam Willows and a guest worked some of this season’s hottest trends. Cue the high boots and puffer jacket.

image

Blogger Maggie Durma was in a country mood: She opted for a gingham-printed dress and kept the theme going with a straw minaudiere.

image

Radio personality and host Rosalyn Lee swapped her usual all-black ensembles for a bold floral-on-floral outfit from Gucci.

image

We love Korean style influencer Shini Park’s take on this demure Whole9yards piece.  The finishing touch was a Gucci fanny pack slung over her shoulder.

image

Actress Fiona Xie toughened up her jumpsuit with fingerless gloves and retro shades.

image

This guest proved that you can look super chic while on a budget: her rad slouchy suit is from Taobao while those loafers are from Charles & Keith.

image

Freelance designer Alverina Wijaya showed how a monochromatic look does not have to be a snooze. Her trick: Clash different patterns and prints together like how she did it with a checked shirt from Zara and striped pants from Iroo.

image

TV presenter Yumika Hoskin added an eclectic touch to her LBD from Bardot by infusing cultural elements like a kimono from Mah Collection and that Kookai headpiece.

image

Stylist Crystal Wu updated her little black dress by teaming it up with a fringed skirt from Zara. She completed her sleek getup with shoes and bag from Calvin Klein.

image

Charles Sumithio and Feriska Sumithio were all about the statement suit and jacket — his is from Alexander Tailor while hers is from Thom Browne.

image

We heart how our Female collective member Parveen Hassanbhai always looks effortlessly cool at any fashion event. Here, she rocked a top she copped from Far East Plaza and a pair of jeans from In Good Company.

image

Student Naomi Tham completed her street style-worthy look — trendy red jacket and flare pants ensemble from Young Hungry Free — with a vintage beret.

image

A printed suit isn’t for everyone, but student Tiara Redwan managed to pull off this bold number by South Korean label Vleeda complete with a matching neck scarf.

image

We’re digging the oriental influence of this Zara getup of host Fiona Loh.

image

Product stylist Nicole Wong went for a rock-meets-minimalist look with her Diane Von Furstenberg dress and Whole9Yards coat. For a pop colour, she opted for a hot pink DVF bag and violet boots from Mango.

image

Actress Sora Ma gave her signature classy style a pretty edge with a statement ruffled dress from Whole9yards that she paired with Jimmy Choo sandals and clutch.

image

We love the way actress Jayley Woo toughened up the Canadian tuxedo trend with a jacket and pair of jeans from Whole9yards. The bag is vintage Versace while the glitter shoes are from Jimmy Choo

Like this? Check out the best dressed of the week, the pretty dresses that will make you fall in love with whole9yards and how to look like a street style star with high-street pieces.
