Who doesn’t like a good spin-off show, especially if it stars BTS, one of music’s biggest groups? That’s exactly what Louis Vuitton did for its Seoul instalment of its Fall/Winter menswear show which was released on the evening of July 7.
The event was presented via a virtual film and debuted 34 new designs along with seven looks curated for members of BTS from the original Louis Vuitton menswear show released in January. The group came onboard as Louis Vuitton ambassadors in April.
Directed by South Korean Jeon Go-woon, the eight-minute-long film titled Hope, is set in a refurbished 39-meter tall bunker and centred around a 25.2 metres-tall industrial scaffolding that adds to the sci-fi/dystopic vibe.
The maison describes the show as a “conversation between space, movement, and global connectivity central to our moment in time, and explores the city of Seoul through the lens of diversity.”
Swipe ahead to catch a glimpse of the K-pop idols in their first runway appearance – albeit virtual – carrying It items such as a monogram-festooned Everyday LV crossbody bag that’s shaped like a coffee tumbler and the chrome LV Mirror Mirror Tote that’s bound to be a hit not only among BTS stans but fashion fiends alike.
