When they go big, Cartier goes small – in terms of purse sizes, that is. While the trend of oversized bags continues to build momentum for Fall Winter 20233 – we’re looking at you Loewe, Ferragamo and The Row – the Parisian luxury maison prefers to keep things dainty when it comes to its handbag designs. This month, Cartier debuts three miniature versions of its existing bag models, which it says are the smallest handbags it has ever created.

Crafted in grained leather, the Panthere de Cartier is the perfect bag for your casual fits.
The styles involved in this downsizing exercise are the C de Cartier shoulder bag, the Panthere de Cartier shoulder bag and the Panthere C de Cartier top handle bag. The C de Cartier, which is distinguished by its interlocking C clasp, now comes in a petite 120 x 80 x 40 mm size – effectively turning it into a chain wallet that you also wear cinched around the waist. The Panthere de Cartier, which is marked by its feline head clasp with leather inserts and grained leather body, has been shrunken to a size of 85 x 130 x 40 wide mm and positioned as a phone pouch.

The Panthere C de Cartier top handle becomes a chic novelty purse with its new petite size.
Finally, the structured Panthere C de Cartier, with it’s enamelled cat-shaped clasp becomes the perfect novelty purse, with its 120 x 130 x 45 mm dimensions. Another thing to note about these mini cases: they are each priced at $1,670. Guess you can call this Cartier’s one-price-fits-all model.
