Why do you need this collection?
The short answer: It’s Phoebe Philo’s last collection for the label.
A lengthier one: Even with her swansong, the most influential female designer of the past decade continues to surprise without straying from the vocabulary that made her such a cherished name. Hyper roomy sweatshirts and coats that underscore her playfulness with proportions (and innate understanding that, ultimately, what women seek is comfort). Tomboyish leather separates that command without the need to be cool. And fresh renditions of all her signatures (the men’s-style pants, the tunic dress, the artfully slit pleated skirt) that remind us why – during her tenure at the house – she was the most sensitive, dependable and real womenswear designer. Of the 49 looks in the collection, here are our faves.
