Contrary to popular belief, Hedi Slimane’s designs don’t have to be dark, brooding and covered in black from head to toe. Celine’s new accessories collection shows us just that. Moving away from the trademark of sultry monochromes, Slimane collaborates with American-based artist Anneli Sanaye Henriksson on The Telepathic Love Print as part of Celine’s Fall Winter ’19 collection which features Henriksson’s whimsical and bold lip-eye print.
The collection, which will be available in Singapore Mid-July, is a younger, brighter counterpart to most of the house’s usual designs. The Telepathic Love Print is a charming reminder that fashion can still be fun, with a strong pop undertone – reminiscent of childhood Sunday morning cartoons. The capsule still boasts sleek options despite its playfulness, like the classic men’s shirt and with subtleties like material choice (the iPhone case is made of lambskin).
Other options within the collection include calfskin pouch, nylon backpacks, Celine’s Triomphe lace up sneakers and a calfskin card holder.
