Anyone who’s a regular on Net-A-Porter would know that Aquazurra and Johanna Ortiz are hot properties on the site. The former, helmed by Edgardo Osorio, is a shoe brand that is a pro at hard-edged slinky styles, which are also big on comfort.
The latter, the namesake label of the designer who is well-known for her sumptuous ruffled pieces, is a must-have in any folk-inspired wardrobe. What ties their work together: that vibrant Latina flair which gives everyday getup more pizzazz. Oh, and the fact that they are Colombian natives.
Come April 19, there’d be another common denominator to their work: The duo will launch a four-piece capsule collection of flats and stiletto sandals in the the colourways of navy and gold. The pieces feature an update on two of Aquazzura’s popular styles — Wild Thing and Tangier — and are also meant to complement Ortiz’s safari-tinged Spring/Summer ’17 collection.
