Crocs. You either love them or hate them. The rubbery foam-like clunky clogs with holes, usually worn for practical purposes by those on their feet all day. But now, Crocs has definitely been cast in the fashion spotlight with crystals and quirky shoe charms (known in the Croc-world as Jibbits) at Christopher Kane and Balenciaga for the past few seasons. Not to mention, their latest — and very successful — collaboration with Post Malone sold out in just ten minutes.
Malone said, “If you like something, go get it. I wear Crocs everywhere from the bar to the stage and I felt it was the perfect collaboration to get together with Crocs and give the fans what they’ve been asking for.” And said fans include OG style maverick Madonna who loved his design so much she wanted to know where she could get her own pair; leaving a comment on Malone’s post to enquire.
This begs the question: are crocs really okay now? And by okay, we mean like wearing ’em loud and proud while serving up style cred — and not just a quick footwear fix on an off day. Well, the secret might just lie in getting a crisp white pair. Case in point, above.
