If you’ve missed out on the first drop of the Balenciaga-slash-Adidas collection – officially billed as Balenciaga / adidas – that was released for a limited period right after the French house’s Spring 23 show on May 23, you might want to make your way to a Balenciaga boutique stat.
Starting Nov 3, Balenciaga will be stocking its shelves with merchandise from the line. This covers everything from ready-to-wear to leather goods to jewellery, with the signature silhouettes of each brand made over with the logo and treatment styles synonymous with the other.

The Balenciaga / adidas project sees Demna building on his repertoire of party-worthy fits – the German activewear giant was, after all, the sports brand of choice among ’90s ravers.
Take, for instance, Demna’s iconic Triple S sneakers which feature the activewear giant’s famous three stripes. Or clock the Stan Smith sneakers that were designed to look intentionally worn out. Meanwhile, garments like T-shirts, pullovers and sweatpants could belong to either brand, given Balenciaga’s distinct XXL proportions.
Throw in how everything has the Balenciaga name in adidas’ all-lowercase typeface, and the mind-blowing brilliance of remix master Demna kicks in. For that, we’re giving this fashion effort three big ticks of approval.
