Here Is This Week's Female Fave Five Fashion Finds
Uniqlo x Ines de la Fressange F/W '18 Collection
Uniqlo and Parisian fashion icon Ines de la Fressange’s are working together for the tenth time to present a noteworthy collection. A modern day take on Montmartre’s fashion in the 1920s, it comprises of wardrobe staples that come in warmer fabrics like cashmere, corduroy and tweed. New to this season is a children’s line with similar French-chic pieces to coordinate with the womenswear, which is basically a huge nod to the mini-me dressing trend.
The collection launches on August 31 exclusively at Uniqlo Orchard Central and online at www.uniqlo.com.
Lilliput & Felix
Launched in Singapore last year, British brand Lilliput offers a wide variety of swim and beachwear pieces made to flatter every body type.
They even have a line exclusive to Singapore, but what we’re more excited about is their first ever bag collaboration (above) with renowned shoe and bag designer Julia of La Filippine. Why? The clutch cum shoulder bag ($134) is made of sustainable materials, comes in a chic round shape and is just the right size for your essentials. It is only available on pre-order on www.lilliputandfelix.com for now, which you may expect to receive in September.
Loewe x Knot On My Planet
Loewe has just launched a meaningful update of its signature elephant mini bag in support of the Elephant Crisis Fund, an initiative that goes towards the prevention of the cruel act of killing elephants. Credit for the intricate beadwork on the bag goes to women from the Samburu Workshop at Ol Malo, Kenya, which draws reference to the memory recall technique of tying knots and an elephant’s impressive ability to remember things. This limited edition bag ($2,290) is available on www.loewe.com and all proceeds go towards elephant conversation projects in Africa and Asia. Guilt-free shopping, anyone?
MCM F/W'18 Collection
Leopard prints have been having its moment in fashion, and MCM isn’t sitting out on this. Inspired by the attitude of rock stars, the brand has put out a series consisting of backpacks (pictured $2,620), a belt bag ($1,410) and bag strap ($830), playfully adorned with the bold print and complementary gold brass plates.
