It goes without saying that here at Female, we have a soft spot for the letter F. For a singular (and very glaring) reason, but also because it stands for a whole medley of adjectives that are right up our alley. Fun, fresh, fashion, fanatic — words that Fendi’s latest capsule too, is well aligned with.
Riffing off the homecoming of logomania at the house earlier this year (see: the FF Logo collection) plus, the logo-led tongue-in-cheek artwork of @hey_reilly that put Fendi and a certain sporting giant’s aesthetic (hint: its name begins with F too) side by side, the latest drop — Fendi Mania — is a logo packed, athleisure-festooned affair.
The overt: sock runners and chunky trainers. The subversive: a certain athletic aesthetic inflected on house classics such as the Peekaboo and Kan I bags, plus heeled sandals and cowboy boots — a fresh perspective cast on the house’s ladylike appeal. While it’s not for the judicious logo/monogram enthusiast for sure, fanatics will have a field day above.
